Rules and Guidelines
ELIGIBILITY:
The currentphotocontest.com PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR Photo
Contest is open to all photographers, who are 18 years of age or older.
Employees of currentphotocontest.com, Sponsors, affiliates, and advertising and
promotion agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to
participate or win.
HOW TO ENTER:
Limit: Each member can upload Unlimited entry per category.
1. The size of the image file should not exceed more then
1MB.
2.Images must be saved as .jpg files at the highest possible quality setting (12
or Max in Photoshop).
3. Images should only treated with basic sharpening,
cropping and removal of dust spots. Images should contain only the
subject matter as originally seen through the viewfinder.
4. Photographs must have been taken from a digital camera
5. Entries should be based on the Categories.
6. Each Entry does not contain any infringing, threatening, false, misleading,
abusive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous,
inflammatory, pornographic or profane content.
How to Submit Entry:
Visit
http://www.currentphotocontest.com/photographeroftheyear.aspx
and complete and submit the online entry form and follow the directions
provided to upload your photograph. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m.
GMT on December 31, 2010.
Online Entry Submission Format: Photos must be
submitted in .JPG or .GIF format and cannot exceed 1mb in size.
WINNER NOTIFICATION:
Potential winners will be notified by e-mail after March 1, 2010.
ENTRYFEE
– There is no entry fee.
PRIZES
Winners will get certificate from currentphotocontest.com through e-mail
COPYRIGHT AND PERMISSIONS
Upon submission of your image to the competition you will retain copyrights to
your image. Entry must be the original work of the entrant and entrant must be
the sole owner of the copyright of such entry.
By submitting images to the
Competition, you confirm that:
1. you are the sole author of each entry and that it is your original work
2. you are the sole owner of the copyright in each image
3. you have the permission of those pictured in the image.
If your image is not shortlisted as a contest finalist
your entry will be deleted within 48 hours of the end of the competition.
Voting
Voting dates to be announced.
Top 10 images selected by our judges from each category and will be placed in a
public voting pool.
Liability
All entries are sent at the entrant's risk. The CPC is not responsible any kind
of technical or mechanical malfunction of any telephone systems, computer
on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software
failure.
currentphotocontest.com has the right to Cancel or Suspend Contest any time, if
the contest is not capable of running as it was planned.
CHANGES TO THE RULES
We reserve the right to amend the Rules and if we do so, we
will publish the amended version on the Site. It is your responsibility to check
regularly to make sure you are aware of any updated information. If you do not
agree to any changes to these Rules, then you should withdraw from the
Competition.
